Dr. Forrest is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and internal medicine with subspecialty boards in electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular medicine and spinal cord injury. Dr. Forrest has advanced training in his field and is one of only a few physicians in the region to have multiple board certifications. He also has expertise in treating patients with musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain. Most of his work is dedicated to Albany Medical Center’s inpatient rehabilitation unit, treating patients with spinal cord injury, lower back pain, and those undergoing stroke rehabilitation. “I try my best to help my patients return to a better quality of life,” says Dr. Forrest. He has also written a number of publications and serves as a reviewer for three of the main journals in the specialty of rehabilitation medicine.
Dr. Forrest is most proud of his role as Chairman of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also serves as a professor for the department at Albany Medical College.
