Throughout Dr. Pluto’s medical career, he has maintained an interest in sleep disorders. During his Internal Medicine residency in Chicago, he was introduced to sleep apnea. During is Pulmonary fellowship, he was exposed to the topic of upper airway muscle innervation, and had the opportunity to observe a polysomnogram.

As a Pulmonary disease specialist, Sleep Medicine is Dr. Pluto’s passion. Sleep apnea is a common condition and the Dr. Pluto finds the response to treatment to be very gratifying. In addition to sleep apnea, he deals with a full range of problems that interfere with the ability to experience restful sleep. At Albany Medical Center, Dr. Pluto continues to focus on sleep disorders through teaching, research, and patient care.
