Outpatient Occupational Therapy
The focus of occupational therapy at Albany Medical Center is to improve or restore function to enable patients to perform their activities of daily living to their fullest extent. These include activities performed at work, school, home and within the community. Treatment focuses on using purposeful activities to restore, maximize and maintain function. The need for outpatient occupational therapy may arise from a traumatic or repetitive injury, an orthopedic or neurological condition, or a recurring injury or illness.

Our therapist will complete a thorough evaluation, including a full assessment of your physical function, daily living skills and cognitive functioning. Your therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan to best meet your needs and monitor you closely and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Treatment is prescribed by your physician. Precriptions can be faxed to 518-262-4492 or a written prescription can be presented on the day of your first appointment.
