| The neurosurgery faculty has established robust clinical programs that bring highly specialized care to all aspects of neurosurgery. Under the guidance of Program Director Alan S. Boulos, M.D., new faculty have been recently added in the area of endovascular neurosurgery and stereotactic radiosurgery/brain tumors. The neurosurgical resident training program at Albany Medical Center is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and is one of the oldest in the country. |

| Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is a specialty that focuses on improving the ability of the patient to function in his/her environment. The primary goal of the PM&R residency program is to provide a clinical and educational experience that prepares the resident to responsibly care for patients requiring the service of a physiatrist. The residency training program at the Albany Medical Center includes two hospitals and two outpatient centers and shares the electodiagnostic laboratory with the Dept. of Neurology. |
