Neurosciences

The Neurosciences Institute at Albany Medical Center is among the best in the nation for treating patients with diseases, disorders or injuries affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system. We are leaders in using minimally-invasive techniques for brain and spinal surgeries as well as leading edge surgical procedures and technology to cure people with epilepsy. Through our care and groundbreaking research, we are helping people with potentially debilitating conditions live full, healthy lives.

The Neurosciences Institute includes nationally renowned neurologists, neurosurgeons and physiatrists with expertise in all neuroscience specialties and nationally recognized education and research programs.

Collaboration is key at Albany Med. In this video, the chairs of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Departments, Dr. Michael Gruenthal and Dr. Alan Boulos, discuss the unique approach to neurological and surgical care at Albany Med.

We are also pleased to announce the addition of The Neurology Group to our Community Division. This addition further complements our current team of experts in providing for patients who suffer from a variety of neurological illnesses, ranging from the most general to the most complex cases. The Neurology Group in our Community Division also extends Albany Med's continuous devotion to patient care to three convenient new locations in Albany, Clifton Park and Troy.
