Caring for newborns, children, teens and adults.
Albany Medical Center Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is your medical home. We provide urgent care, ongoing treatment of chronic medical problems, preventive advice and services for patients of all ages, including, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. We also offer assistance with community resources such as lactation support, developmental resources for children, smoking cessation and geriatric community resources.
We serve as the main organizer of your medical home. One major benefit of a medical home is that you receive care from health care professionals who are familiar with you and understand your medical history. Your primary care provider and other members of our care team coordinate with pediatric and adult specialists, therapists, home health nurses, and additional specialists in order to address all of your healthcare needs.
We proudly provide care to the many generations that have come to our practice over the years. A major goal of being your medical home is to continuously offer the resources that have enriched the lives of our patients in many ways. Our newborn infants receive special attention from our Lactation Counselor. Our toddlers and children are monitored closely for achieving their developmental milestones. We partner with our adolescents to help them make healthy choices, and continue to provide this guidance and support throughout adulthood.
You are the key member of your health care team. The purpose of the medical home is to foster your health and well-being, as well as the health and well being of your family. We will support you by developing treatment plans and goals with you, providing educational resources, and by helping you to identify and overcome any barriers to better health. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
