Beth Nardacci, MS, FNP-C, CDE, BC-ADM

Ms. Nardacci received her nursing degree from Hudson Valley Community College and her BS and MS degrees in nursing from Russell Sage College.   In 1997, she earned a certificate from Russell Sage College as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Health. 

 

Ms. Nardacci is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, diabetes educator, and insulin pump trainer.  She is board certified in advanced diabetes management.  She joined the Division of Endocrinology as diabetes coordinator in 1985. She is Clinical Assistant Professor at Albany Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor at Russell Sage College.  In her role at Albany Medical Center, she cares for patients, participates in clinical trials, and educates nursing and medical students and residents.  She enjoys speaking to lay and professional audiences on many topics. 

 

Ms. Nardacci co-founded the Northeastern NY Diabetes Educators.  She has held various positions in this group, as well as served on the Board of Directors for the state and local American Diabetes Association.  She is a member of the NYS Nurse Practitioners Association. 

 

In 1993, she was Albany Medical Center's recipient of the NYS Nurse of Distinction Award.  In 2003, she was granted the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Inspiration Award.  Her special interests in diabetes include insulin pump therapy, adolescence, kidney disease, and the psychological aspects of diabetes.
