View the story of nine-year-old Chloe Sova, who was recently named “Heart Princess” at the 28th annual Capital Region Heart Ball at the Hall of Springs, Saratoga. Albany Med partnered with the American Heart Association to develop the video about Chloe, which was viewed by a record crowd at the popular ball. When Chloe was three days old, Dr. Neil Devejian, an Albany Med cardiac surgeon, performed life-saving surgery on her. Like many babies with serious conditions – more than 250 annually, Chloe was transferred from the hospital where she was born to Albany Med for the specialized care only we can provide the region. Today Chloe, who lives in Middle Grove with her mother, father and two sisters, is a healthy third-grader whose hobbies include playing the guitar, working toward her blue belt in karate, and playing softball and basketball.
