The Ronald McDonald Family Room is an extension of the Ronald McDonald House located at Albany Medical Center. It provides the same warm, homelike atmosphere for families who want to be near their child at the hospital. The room offers a peaceful place to have a snack or cup of coffee, watch television, read or use a computer. Siblings can quietly play a game or relax. It is located on the 7th floor next to the D elevators. Hours are 9:00 am - 9:00 pm.
Sleep Rooms
There are a very limited number of sleep rooms available next to the PICU. They are set aside for parents of our most critically ill patients. Sleep hours are until 9:00 am. If you would like to reserve a sleep room overnight, please sign up with the unit secretary after 6:00 pm. Requests will be honored based on individual circumstances.
