The Albany Med Faculty Physicians are experts in taking care of patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, surgical diseases of the proximal aorta, and severe cardiac dysfunction - acquired and congenital. Our anesthesiologists provide care for approximately 700 patients annually.

Our dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists involved in the care of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Our cardiac anesthesiologists are fellowship trained in cardiac anesthesia and are also board certified in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Our cardiologists and cardiac anesthesiologists also provide in house coverage for patients requiring TEE exams. We work closely with a group of excellent cardiac surgeons, perfusionists and highly skilled nurses. The cardiac operating rooms are equipped with the most advanced monitoring devices to deliver superior care to our cardiac surgical patients.
