Thank you for visiting the Department of Surgery at Albany Medical Center. We are committed to delivering the highest quality surgical care to our patients, training superb clinical surgeons, and providing research opportunities for students and residents.
Our faculty encompass the breadth of surgical specialties, with clinical expertise and training programs in general surgery, vascular surgery, neurological surgery, urology, cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, otolaryngology, and minimally invasive surgery. As the leading clinical facility in the New York Capital Region, we provide tertiary and quaternary care to a surrounding 25 county region, including comprehensive trauma services in a Level 1 Trauma Center. We are committed to serving the community as a resource for specialized care and information, and to meet the needs of area physicians and patients. Our faculty is available to consult on complex cases, and serve as the referral point for treating patients with challenging needs.
