Gastric Restrictive Procedures

  • Decrease the size of the stomach so a person feels full after eating a small amount of food.

Malabsorptive Procedures

  • Alter the digestive process so fewer calories are absorbed.

These procedures can be performed via open surgery (through a six-inch incision) or laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery, through several tiny incisions -- including lap banding. Our surgical team also may employ the da Vinci robot for some procedures.
