Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Program
The Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Research Program is one of the country's leading collaborations studying new diagnostic and treatment options for people with Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. Albany Medical Center and GE Global Research have combined the talents of renowned physicians and research scientists with the most sophisticated technology currently available (GE's Signa 3 Tesla MRI). The goal of this partnership is the pursuit of accurate and early diagnosis, the discovery of more effective treatments, and ultimately cure and prevention of neurological diseases.
One of the keys to successful research programs is the commitment of volunteers willing to participate in a clinical research protocol. The Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Research Program is actively recruiting participants "including normal control subjects" for a variety of exciting new studies that are currently ongoing.
