The Albany Medical Center Advantage
Albany Medical Center's multidisciplinary approach is critical to providing accurate diagnostic assessment, drug treatment of cognitive and behavioral symptoms, clinical research and long term care.
Patient services are offered in the following:
- Aging and Memory Clinic
- The Alzheimer's Disease Treatment Center
- The Anne B. Goldberg Alzheimer's Resource Center
- Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Program
Offering Innovative Technology and Advanced
A major step toward achieving our goal is the establishment of the Neurosciences Advanced Imaging Research Center, a collaborative effort between General Electric's Global Research Center and Albany Medical Center's Neurosciences Institute.
The Neurosciences Advanced Imaging Research Center provides a platform for these two well-established organizations to build on their individual strengths and work together towards eradicating the scourges of debilitating neurodegenerative disease.
The purpose of the Neurosciences Advanced Imaging Research Center is to utilize high resolution imaging technology to identify the cause of debilitating neurodegenerative disease, to evaluate therapeutic interventions and measure the effectiveness of drugs. In the long term we hope to predict people at risk for these diseases and institute therapies before the onset of the disease.
