The STD Clinic in Rochester takes place at the Monroe County Department of Public Health, located at 855 West Main Street. The program is run by the Center for Health & Behavioral Training (CHBT). CHBT is part of the Community Services Division of the Infectious Diseases Division, Department of Medicine, and University of Rochester working collaboratively with the Department of Community and Preventive Medicine and the Center for Health and Behavior, Department of Psychiatry, Syracuse University. CHBT works closely with the STD/HIV Program of the Monroe County Department of Public Health. CHBT's mission is to bridge science and practice through training and capacity building to advance STD/HIV prevention and community health.
The mini-residency at the Center for Health & Behavioral Training- Rochester trains physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses offering up to 12 hours of free, hands-on CME. This CME experience can be used to assist you in becoming an HIV specialist. Candidates for this program must be practicing in New York as a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program
