What disciplines are eligible for which credits?
CME CREDIT: Physicians may claim Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. Physician extenders and other healthcare providers are encouraged to check with their credentialing boards for reciprocity of CME credits.
Physician assistants, nurse practitioners (not claiming Nursing Credits), dentists, dental hygienists, social workers and all other disciplines are asked to complete CME paperwork. Albany Medical College will track attendance for all disciplines that complete the CME sign-in and evaluation form.
NURSING CREDIT: Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners are the only disciplines that may claim Continuing Nursing Education credits. However, L.P.N.s and Nurse's Aides are encouraged to complete nursing forms as Albany Medical College will validate their attendance as evidence of their participation (up to 3-years). Because Nurse Practitioners may "apply" for both nursing and CME credits, they may chose which type of credits they would like by completing the appropriate forms.
PHARMACY CREDIT: Pharmacists may claim continuing education units/CEUs through the Pharmacist Society of the State of New York by completing required paperwork provided by Albany Medical College.
For continuing education paperwork, please go to "Paperwork for the Conference Day" using the menu in the upper the right.
**All participants, regardless of their discipline, must complete the HRSA Participant Information Form. All participants will receive an attendance certificate**
