Series Description
This program is part of an ongoing satellite videoconference series entitled "The Management of HIV/AIDS in the Correctional & Community Setting," which addresses clinical issues in the management of HIV-infected patients. This series is a unique, collaborative venture among Albany Medical College, the New York State Department of Correctional Services and the private pharmaceutical industry. Each program addresses a different clinical aspect of HIV infection using the same format: didactic lectures, case presentations and a panel discussion.

Who Should Attend?
Physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, and other interested providers.

Registration & Satellite Viewing Sites
There is no registration fee. To learn of a downlink site in your region and the assigned facilitator for pre-registration, check the site lists in the menu above on this website.  All sites will broadcast the program on the same date and time.

CME Accreditation
Albany Medical College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Albany Medical College designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Accreditation
The Albany Medical Center Hospital is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. 

This learning activity will be awarded a maximum of 1.75 nursing contact hours.

Continuing Pharmacy Education
This program will provide pharmacists with 1.75 continuing education units (CEUs)/1.75 contact hours of continuing education. Participants must complete required documentation to receive credit for this program. Certificates will be issued within six weeks of the completion of the program.

The Pharmacists Society of the State of New York is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education. ACPE # 170-999-09-107-L01-P.
