  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Registered Nurses
  • Pharmacists

An Infectious Disease clinician skilled in HIV care will discuss patient management with callers.  Consultations may include but are not limited to:

  • Management of Antiretroviral Therapy
  • Interpretation of HIV Resistance Testing
  • Diagnosis & Treatment of Opportunistic Infections
  • Hepatitis C & HIV Co-infection
  • Post Exposure Prophylaxis

How to access this service: Consultations may be performed by phone by calling the number above or by faxing your questions to 518.262.8460. Please note that calls placed between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm will be returned as soon as possible. Calls placed close to or after 4:30 pm may be returned the next business morning.

If you have experienced an occupational exposure such as a needle stick, you will be given an opportunity on the telephone menu to speak to a physician 24 hours a day. This service is not in any way a substitute for direct patient care or a formal clinical consult.
