Parking
Ask a Friend to Drive You
We encourage you to leave your car at home and to have somebody drive you to and from the Hospital. Drivers can use designated areas to quickly drop off or pick up patients. These areas are clearly marked in the AMC parking garage and at all building entrances.
If someone can not drive you, don't worry. You can park in the AMC parking garage.
Inpatient Parking
Free parking for inpatients is provided in the AMC parking garage on the day of admission and day of discharge.
Outpatient Parking
Parking for outpatients is provided in the Blue Lot and the AMC parking garage. Outpatients will receive a validation sticker at the reception area of their respective clinic/office/department. Present the validation sticker to the parking attendant upon departure to receive free parking.
Visitor Parking
We encourage visitors to use the AMC parking garage. Parking rates are posted at the entrances. Free parking is available in the Pink Lot, located just off Notre Dame Drive. A free shuttle is provided to and from the Medical Center between 5:30 am and midnight, Monday through Friday.
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking is available in clearly marked and reserved parking spaces in the blue lot and in the AMC parking garage.
Parking Discounts
Discount extended stay parking passes are available to patients and their families. The passes can be purchased at the Information Desk located in the Building-M Lobby.
The extended stay pass allows parking in the AMC parking garage at a reduced rate.
Personal Possessions
Articles left in cars are the responsibility of the owner or operator of the vehicle. The attendant may request that loose articles left in cars be locked in the trunk should he/she notice their presence. Vehicles should be locked whenever possible. No responsibility is assumed by Albany Medical Center.
