"Teddy Bear Hospital Day" to Take Place at Albany Medical Center
ALBANY, N.Y., April 5, 2007--Children will be able to learn about health care during the 11th annual "Teddy Bear Hospital Day" from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21 in Choices Caf? at Albany Medical Center. Hosted by Albany Medical College students, children are encouraged to bring their teddy bears to the event for a check-up and to learn about basic medical procedures by participating in hands-on activities.
The medical students will teach the children about general health, good nutritional habits and how to dial 911. There will also be an opportunity for the children to explore the LifeNet helicopter, an ambulance and a fire truck. Refreshments will be served. Admission and parking are free.
Albany Medical Center is northeastern New York's only academic health sciences center. It consists of Albany Medical College, Albany Medical Center Hospital and the Albany Medical Center Foundation, Inc.
