Albany Medical Center to Host Free Skin Cancer Screening
ALBANY, N.Y., April 16, 2008—Albany Medical Center will host a free skin cancer screening from 8-11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at the New York Oncology Hematology office at Albany Medical Center. Screenings will be performed by the Capital District Dermatological Society.
The screenings are being offered in recognition of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States.
Registration is required and parking is free. Members of the public interested in attending can register by calling (518) 454-4076.
The screenings are sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology, Capital District Dermatological Society, the American Cancer Society, the New York State Capital District Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society, New York Oncology Hematology, P.C., and Albany Medical Center.
