Area Surgeon Dr. Richard MacDowell Joins Albany Med
ALBANY, N.Y, October 16, 2012-Richard MacDowell, M.D., FACS, a well-known local breast surgeon, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Department of Surgery.
In addition to surgery for breast cancer and benign breast conditions, Dr. MacDowell has specific interests in hernia repair and gall bladder removal.
Dr. MacDowell has been practicing in the Capital Region for more than 30 years. He received his medical degree at Albany Medical College and conducted his residency at Albany Medical Center. Dr. MacDowell has served as president and governor of the New York Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. MacDowell is board certified in general surgery. He lives with his wife in Delmar, NY.
