Dr. Henry Tan and Dr. Mayar Jundi Join Albany Med's Division of Cardiology
ALBANY, N.Y., August, 23, 2007 - Two physicians have recently joined the staff of the division of cardiology at Albany Medical Center. Henry T. Tan, M.D. and Mayar Jundi, M.D. have been appointed assistant professors of medicine.
Prior to joining Albany Med, Dr. Tan was a fellow in electrophysiology at Albert Einstein Medical College, Montefiore in New York. He completed his residency in internal medicine at George Washington University after receiving his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson in Camden, N.J. Dr. Tan has a special interest in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia management and adult general cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as cardiology and is board eligible in electrophysiology.
Dr. Jundi recently completed fellowship trainings in both cardiology and heart failure and transplantation at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was named the Cardiology Fellow of the Year. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Crozer Chester Medical Center after receiving his medical degree from Damascus University in Damascus, Syria. He is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in cardiology. Dr. Jundi specializes in heart failure and cardiac transplantation.
