"Teddy Bear Hospital Day" to Take Place at Albany Medical Center

ALBANY, N.Y., April 21, 2008—Children will be able to learn about health care during the 12th annual "Teddy Bear Hospital Day," hosted by Albany Medical College students, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3 in Choices Café at Albany Medical Center. Children are encouraged to bring their teddy bears to the event for a check-up and to learn about basic medical procedures by participating in hands-on activities.
        
The medical students will teach the children about general health, good nutritional habits and how to dial 911. There will also be an opportunity for the children to see the LifeNet helicopter, an ambulance and a fire truck. In addition, information about immunizations and poison control will be available.

Refreshments will be served. Admission and parking are free.
