Albany Med Announces Plans to Expand in NYOH Clifton Park Location
ALBANY, N.Y., March 18, 2014 —As part of its efforts to make specialized services more easily accessible to patients, Albany Medical Center today announced that it has committed to locate physicians at the new facility being constructed by New York Oncology Hematology, P.C. (NYOH) in Clifton Park.
Officials with New York Oncology Hematology announced last week they will begin construction this spring on a 28,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility at the corner of Crossing’s Boulevard and Sitterly Road.
“We are honored to be enhancing our long-term relationship with NYOH,” said Steven Frisch, M.D., executive vice president of integrated delivery systems and hospital systems general director. “As both medical practitioners and educators, Albany Med physicians offer the latest advances in medicine with the collaborative approach needed to provide the best options for cancer patients. By working with valued and leading community-based providers, such as with New York Oncology and Hematology, we strive to offer patients access to superlative care in convenient settings and locations.”
“As the Albany Med Faculty Physicians group continues to expand throughout the region, our goal is to provide the right services in the right settings, with the right partners,” said Ferdinand Venditti, M.D., vice dean for clinical affairs who leads Albany Med’s faculty physician group. “This opportunity to co-locate with NYOH demonstrates our continued focus on providing southern Saratoga County and the surrounding communities with the best possible care for every need.”
The Albany Med Faculty Physicians group currently practices at more than 20 community locations in eight counties, including five in Saratoga County.
