Albany Med Welcomes Back Neurosurgeon Dr. David Semenoff
ALBANY, N.Y., January 29, 2008 -- David L. Semenoff, M.D., a neurosurgeon and Albany Medical College alumnus, has returned to the department of surgery at Albany Medical Center and has been appointed associate professor of surgery at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Semenoff holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and received his medical degree from Albany Medical College. After completing a surgical internship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., Dr. Semenoff returned to Albany to fulfill his residency training in neurosurgery and also serve as chief resident at Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Semenoff spent more than 18 years in private practice while working at Albany Medical Center before moving to Athens, Georgia to serve on the medical staff at Athens Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Healthcare System, Inc.
Dr. Semenoff specializes in degenerative, minimally-invasive and reconstructive spinal surgery, as well as skull-base neurosurgery related to tumor and vascular malformations. Dr. Semenoff is board certified by the American Board of Neurosurgery.
