Albany Med Today

Young Girl Makes Big Gift to Albany Med

Because she wanted to help the kids where her mother worked, Emily Fredericks, 10, decided to sell lemonade and brownies and donate the proceeds to the Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. “I knew the children needed help, so I decided to raise money to help them,” said Emily, who raised $250 and presented it to David Clark, MD, chair of the Department of Pediatrics. Her mother, Jamie Bocketti, practice coordinator for Albany Med’s pediatric surgery practice, said, “I am extremely proud to know that at a young age she wanted to help others. Her ideas really make me hopeful that she can make a difference in the world.”
