Thank You for Dancing in the Woods


Thank you to all who helped make the 29th annual Dancing in the Woods a huge success! More than $400,000 was raised to support the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.The generosity of our sponsors and all who attended the gala event at the Riverview Center in Menands will help us provide programs and services that our patients and their families need.

 

Maureen O'Brien-Donovan was the night's featured speaker, sharing the story of her son Gabe, his battle with neurofibromatosis, and their families relationship with the Melodies Center.

The Melodies Singers performance of Silent Night was a highlight of Dancing in the Woods 2012.
The performance of Silent Night by some of the Melodies Singers was a beautiful addition to this seasons Dancing in the Woods. Their performance drew a standing ovation from the more than 400 at the pre-party program.

Each year, Albany Medical Center's Melodies Center cares for more than 900 children bravely fighting childhood cancer and blood disorders. Today, a vast majority of them will become long-term survivors.

In addition to providing the latest, cutting-edge treatments right here in the Capital Region, the Melodies Center also offers our young patients and families so much more than the comfort of a home away from home; the strength, compassion and dedication of a loving extended family; and above all, hope for a happy and healthy future.
