Albany Med and Saratoga Hospital join forces breaking ground on a high-end urgent care center in Malta.
Staffed 24/7 by Albany Medical Center Emergency Physicians
Saratoga Hospital and Albany Medical Center have formed a unique partnership to offer high-end urgent care in Malta. Together, the hospitals are constructing a new center that will be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by Albany Med's emergency medicine physicians and Saratoga Hospital staff.
Location: Exit 12, off the Northway (I-87)
Opening: Spring, 2013
Size: 60,000 square feet on two floors. First floor is 33,450 square feet, second is 26,550 square feet.
Details of the new facility include:
- Urgent and higher-level care staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and residents from Albany Med
- Electronic, real-time specialty consultation with specialists at Albany Med and Saratoga Hospital
- Diagnostic imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), X-ray and ultrasound
- Lab services
- Helipad
- Physician offices for Saratoga Hospital and Albany Medical Center staff
Until this facility is operational, our emergency medicine physicians are now providing care at Saratoga Hospital's Malta Medical Arts.
