The Patient Pavilion, located on the corner of New Scotland and Myrtle Avenues in Albany, provides the most advanced care for virtually every condition with advanced operating suites, expanded intensive care units, spacious private rooms, and more.
The Pavilion, which opened in 2013, and other new office buildings and a multi-level second parking garage changed the landscape around Albany Medical Center and the Park South neighborhood. In addition, plans have been announced to redevelop the Park South neighborhood with new streetscapes, retail opportunities and housing options. The $110-million Park South Plan for the Future, a public-private partnership supported by major Capital Region companies, will create mixed use residential and retail space and parking for the two blocks bordered by Myrtle and Dana Avenues and Robin Street and New Scotland Avenue.
As our streetscape changes, we have captured the process with images.
