Albany Medical College attracts talented students of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to excellent academic records, outstanding achievements, and admirable personal characteristics, they possess a wide range of interests and experiences.
You can initiate the application process through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). The AMCAS application is available via their website (www.aamc.org/students/amcas).
AMCAS applications are usually filed between June 1 and November 15. Please note that these dates can change from year to year.
Once Albany Medical College receives your AMCAS application, supplementary application materials will be made available to you. Although the College's applicant pool is quite large, the Admissions Committee strives to give each application the attention it deserves by individually reading all completed files.
The College's Office of Student and Minority Affairs is dedicated to greater inclusion of underrepresented students in the medical professions. Actively involved in the recruitment and retention of minority students, the staff facilitates programs and coordinates academic, cultural, and support services, including linkages with community resources. Minority students are encouraged to meet one-to-one with staff members to meet their specific needs.
