Introduction to AMBI Medical Education
For the past two decades, Albany Medical College has been in the forefront of innovative curricular developments in medical ethics and humanities education for medical students. The result has been the creation of two main programs. One is a 4-year integrated and comprehensive course required of all students throughout their medical training, with the patient-physician relationship as the overarching theme. The other, a more recent addition, is an advanced program in bioethics scholarship for students who demonstrate a special interest and talent in the field and wish to be physician-ethicist leaders in their future careers.
