Alden March Bioethics Institute Educational Programs

The Alden March Bioethics Institute offers a comprehensive selection of educational programs in bioethics for students on campus and online. These programs include online graduate education in Bioethics including the Master of Science in Bioethics and the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Ethics. Undergraduate Medical Education programs include the four-year longitudinal course, Health Care and Society, which is required of all medical students and the ethics scholars program leading to the Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Bioethics. Our scientific integrity program includes a required curriculum for all basic science graduate students and additional programming for all others engaged in the practice of research at Albany Medical College. Additional programming is offered on an ongoing basis for faculty and staff development.

Alden March Bioethics Institute's Online Graduate Programs provide mid-career professionals, joint degree students, and highly motivated post-baccalaureate students with an opportunity to supplement current education or career training.  Students learn to identify ethical dilemmas; to create and scrutinize policies and practices in healthcare and associated settings; and to help institutions and individuals solve tough moral issues.
