Minority Students
The Office of Minority Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing programs that enhance the educational opportunities for minorities to enter the medical and allied health professions. The Office also coordinates the provision of academic, social, and cultural support services for matriculated minority students.
The Office of Minority Affairs administers one high school program for underrepresented students. The Science Technology Entry Program (STEP) is an academic career awareness, science enrichment and readiness program for high school students.
The director is involved in the recruitment of well qualified students to the College and is actively involved in the admissions process and reviews the applications of all underrepresented applicants.
