Accreditation

The Urology Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program was recently reviewed in 2005 by the ACGME and was awarded 5 years of accreditation with a letter of commendation. Two positions are offered in each year of the program. The four-year program integrates the clinical, research, and teaching facilities at Albany Medical Center (AMC), Samuel S. Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), and St. Peters Hospital.

Satisfactory completion of one year of training in the Albany Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program is required for acceptance into the Urology program. We participate in the American Urological Association match program and use the ERAS application process.
