Clinical Care
The Department recognizes the mandate of the ACGME to provide residents with a balanced exposure that includes ample exposure to care of outpatients as well as to work with hospitalized patients.
- PGY-1 -- Internal Medicine Internship
- PGY-2 -- AMCH(inpatient), 12 months
- PGY-3 -- Northwoods Rehabilitation Center/Albany Medical Center Rehab Unit (inpatient), 6 months and Stratton V.A. Medical Center (inpatient), 6 months.
- PGY-4 -- 12 months outpatient experience divided between the outpatient facility of AMCH, the V.A. outpatient clinics and the Center for the Disabled.
