Ambulatory Care

Exposure to ambulatory care begins at the PGY-2 level. Residents at the PGY-2 level are assigned to Albany Medical Center, where they are expected to work two mornings per week in ambulatory clinics with Dr. Dubin. Twice monthly, Dr. Dubin runs the Amputee Clinic, and one morning a week, residents participate with Dr. Dubin in the combined EMG/nerve block Botox clinic.    Residents in the PGY-3 level have primary responsibility to the inpatient units at the VAMC and Northwoods Rehabilitation Center. The PGY-4 year is dedicated to ambulatory care. Residents will spend one month at  the Center for the Disabled, five months at the Outpatient facility of Albany Medical Center, and six months at the outpatient clinics of the VAMC.
