Albany Medical Center
The Albany Medical Center Hospital is a 674 bed, level 1 Trauma Center serving northeastern New York and western New England. The total population covered by Albany Medical Center exceeds 2 million people. It is the only academic health sciences center in northeastern New York. While at AMC, residents are exposed to trauma, spine, and hand surgery. AMC has just started a minimally invasive spine surgery program, only offered by a handful of programs across the country.
Veteran's Administration Medical Center
The Albany Veteran's Medical Center is a 634 bed hospital offering opportunities in general orthopaedics with an emphasis on adult reconstructive surgery. Residents participate extensively in out patient clinics
Ellis Hospital
Ellis Hospital is a 352 bed, level II trauma center located approximately 20 miles from Albany. Experiences at Ellis include sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics and general orthopaedics. Residents participate in a weekly outpatient clinic and also spend time seeing outpatients in the attendings' offices. Sunnyview Hospital, adjacent to Ellis Hospital, provides orthopaedic residents with a opportunity to follow their operative patients during inpatient rehabilitation.
Shriner's Hospital for Children
The Shriner's Hospital in Springfield, MA is a major referral center for a wide variety of pediatric orthopaedic problems and provides both outpatient clinic and advanced operative opportunities in pediatric orthopaedics.
St. Peter's Hospital
St. Peter's Hospital is a 400 bed community hospital which offers opportunities in general orthopaedics as well as orthopaedic subspecialties such as joint replacement.
