Application & Admissions
You are invited to apply for a position in the Family Medicine Residency Program.1. Attend to the schedule of dates from the National Resident Matching Program.
2. All applicants must use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to apply to the Family Medicine Residency Program. No paper applications will be accepted.
3. We ask that your application materials include an official transcript, an ERAS common application form, Dean's letter, three letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with your work in medical school, a recent photograph, and a personal statement stating why you have selected Family Medicine and why you are particularly interested in our program.
4. Submit your completed disc to your Academic Affairs office for ERAS transmission to:

5. Dr. Mitnick serves as the Director of Medical Education for the Albany Medical Center Osteopathic Internship Program. 6. For residents requesting advanced placement, please add one or more letters from the department head(s) under whom you have served.

8. If your residency/career interests lie in Upstate New York or Western New England, we encourage you to spend some elective time with us during your senior year so that we may get to know each other better. Please contact our Pre-Doc office at 518-262-5507 regarding available elective time.
9. If you are a foreign medical graduate you must meet the following requirements:
1. You must have a J-1 Visa
2. Must have a valid ECFMG Certificate
3. Must have one year of clinical experience in the United States not including
externships or observerships
4. Three letters of recommendation from U.S. Physicians.
5. The admission committee likes to see board scores of 80 or more.
