Pediatrics Residency Program

Message from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the Pediatric Residency Program at The Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. We are an ACGME accredited training program. Our primary goal is to prepare residents to become excellent pediatricians through a supportive environment. Our educational experience, while providing all required rotations, allows residents to customize their learning to their educational needs.

Our location is a unique feature adding to the educational experience. We are the only Children’s Hospital within a 25 county region. Our patients come with diverse medical, social and economic backgrounds giving our residents a wide pediatric experience. We are also located in the state capitol. This location provides ample opportunities for our residents to advocate for children locally, statewide and nationally.

Our faculty is diverse and is an integral part of the program. The faculty members serve as mentors to residents. Many of trainees continue to stay in contact with their faculty mentors long after they leave. Please see our faculty page to see some of their interests.

Please continue to look though our pages to make an informed decision on whether our residency program is a good fit for you. If you need more information or have any other questions please contact us.
