Shazneen F. Hushmendy, DO Dr. Hushmendy was born in India but graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she had a dual major in biology and psychology. Her medical degree was earned at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has made a number of trips to India as a medical student. Dr. Hushmendy has worked in AMC and has a number of publications concerning her work here. |

Ebelechukwu Chris Nnoli, MD Dr. Nnoli is a native of Nigeria who is a graduate of CUNY-Lehman College and of SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He was a leader in a study of patients’ feelings about being involved in medical student education. |

Tara A. Renna, MD Dr. Renna was born in South Korea but graduated from Siena College and from Albany Medical College. She has been a student researcher in the AMC Distinction in Research Program. |

Gustave T. Ruckert, DO Dr. Ruckert is a third generation OB/GYN in his family. He graduated from Trinity College and received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Between college and medical school he worked as a project manager, a quality control analyst working on a national recall of a mesh hernia patch, and as a healthcare analyst for United Healthcare. |

Audra Jacqueline Ryan, MD Dr. Ryan is a native of Iowa. She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina. While in medical school at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine she took a year off to earn her M.P.H. and in the 2011-12 acedemic year served in a NIMH Medical Student Research Fellowship. |

David Jize Wen, MD Dr. Wen is a graduate of Carleton College in Minnesota and earned his medical degree at University of Minnesota Medical School. He did extensive research while in medical school. |

Dr. Hurlbut came east from California. She earned her BS in biological sciences and Spanish from California Polytechnic State University. Eugenia completed her osteopathic internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. |

Dr. Jean-Miller is a native of Haiti but her home is now in Georgia. She received her BA in anthropology from Hunter College. Marlaine founded “Speak For Me,” an advocacy organization which supports Haitian immigrants. |

Zarghoona Nasiri, M.D. Dr. Nasiri is a native of Afghanistan but moved to California where she became a citizen. She received her undergraduate degree at U.C. Davis in biochemistry and religious studies and her MD at St. George’s University. Dr. Nasiri's sister is Chief Resident in Family Medicine at AMC and another sister is a medical student at AMC. |

Jeanine Ricca, D.O. Dr. Ricca received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Manhattanville College. She then went south to Emory University where she earned a Master of Medical Science degree as a Physician Assistant. She practiced as a PA at various locations in NY before receiving her medical degree from UNECOM. |

Stephanie Tarracciano, D.O. Dr. Tarracciano is a native of New England and received her Bachelor of Science degree at Pennsylvania State University in pre-medicine. Her DO is from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to medical school, she served as a paramedic. |

Jamie Chao, M.D. Dr. Chao returned to Albany from Lehigh Valley Hospital, where she completed her internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in human physiology, and her Master of Science degree in medical science from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Chao received her Medical Degree from Albany Medical College. Dr. Chao will join the Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship program with Yale School of Medicine upon completion of her OB/GYN residency program. |
