Teaching activities include daily clinical rounds and weekly grand rounds, as well as a didactic lecture program.  The didactic program is given on Friday morning for three hours per week.  This program surveys the entire specialty each year.  In addition, special courses are given yearly, including a fetal monitoring course and a laparoscopy course.  Several sessions are devoted to CREOG review prior to the yearly exam.  Two hours per month are given to consideration of the current literature with a formal teaching of the are of evaluating reviews.

Three grand rounds are presented monthly, which include formal lectures by the faculty, visiting lecturers and a morbidity and mortality conference, led by the Chief Resident with participation of other residents.
