Grand Rounds

Friday Teaching

Teaching activities include daily clinical rounds on the high risk ward with MFM’s and designated generalist faculty on GYN service, and  weekly grand rounds as well as a didactic lecture program. The didactic program is given on Friday mornings for  three hours each week after Grand Rounds. This program surveys the entire specialty each year. In addition, special courses are given yearly, including a fetal monitoring course and a laparoscopy course. Several sessions are devoted to CREOG review prior to the yearly exam. Two hours per month are given to consideration of the current literature with formal teaching in the form of journal club.

Three grand rounds are presented monthly, which include formal lectures by the faculty, visiting lecturers and a morbidity and mortality case study, led by the Chief Resident with participation of other residents.
