Brady Bowen, DO
University of North Texas, Health Science Center Texas College 2014

Academic Interests: Sports Medicine, Hospitalist Medicine, International Medicine
About Me: I was born and raised near Salt Lake City, Utah, served a religious mission for 2 years in Lisbon, Portugal and graduated from Brigham Young University with degrees in Exercise Science and Portuguese. I married a Texan and became one too and I have the boots to prove it. My wife and I together with our new baby boy are thrilled to be here in Albany for excellent training, new friends, outdoor activities and the fall foliage of the Northeast.

Manpreet Mann, MD
American University of Antigua College of Medicine, 2013

Academic Interests: Sports Medicine, Med/Ped Hospitalist Medicine, Cardiology
Plans: Strive to improve every day for the next 4 years, so I can walk out of here somewhat confident in taking care of everyone, from newborns to 90 year olds!
About Me: I was born and raised in Northern CA, but have lived the life of a nomad the past few years - from the Caribbean to Miami to NYC to Baltimore, to Washington, DC and even Nebraska. I am ecstatic to stop living out of a suitcase and call Albany home for the next 4 years! I hope to explore the area in my free time, have fun with co-residents, learn as much as possible, and make time for things I truly enjoy (basketball, running, cooking, music, leisurely reading, TV for hours on end) no matter how busy residency gets!

Uwa Otabor, MD
Ross University School of Medicine, 2014

Academic Interests: Medical missions, Nephrology (ask me again in a couple of years), MedPeds hospitalist
Plans: Sleep when I can, eat even more, build lots of friendships and finally try to understand all of medicine/pediatrics.
About Me: I grew up in Nigeria, did my undergrad at Carleton U in Ottawa, Canada. I love singing, doing bible studies, hiking, journaling, watching movies and doing anything out door that involves water although I can't swim. I am very excited about being at Albany for the next 4 years, and I'm looking forward to expanding my medical knowledge and skills.

Lisa Tharler, DO
University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2014

Andrea Matho, MD
SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, 2013

Academic Interests: Primary care
Plans: Travel the world but ultimately settle in the beautiful and historical riverfront neighborhood of Troy, N.Y.
About Me: I was born in France and came to the U.S. to study at Cornell University in beautiful Ithaca, N.Y. (Ithaca is Gorges!) I then went on to medical school in Buffalo, N.Y. but feel that I have found my true home in Albany with my new husband and my extended Med/Peds family.

Mary Mulqueen, MD
SUNY Downstate Medical Center, 2013

Academic Interests: Primary care, developmental disabilities
Plans: Learn as much as I can during residency!
About Me: I was born on Long Island and have lived in MY my entire life (besides a stop in Philadelphia for college). In my free time I enjoy baking, reading and spending time with family and friends. Having spent many summers up in the Catskills, I'm excited to be back upstate! I'm looking forward to exploring Albany over the next 4 years and discovering all it has to offer.

Aaron Quidort, MD
Eastern Virginia Medical School, 2013

Academic Interests: Infectious Disease, Primary Care, Adolescent Medicine
Plans: To never stop learning from mentors, peers, and patients, and to help where I can help the most.
About Me: I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and attended college and medical school in southeastern Virginia. I worked for a number of years in graphic design before returning to school for medicine. Away from the hospitals and clinics, I enjoy baseball (Go O's!), philosophy, and classical music, but find the greatest rewards in the time I spend with my family. Albany is a charming city with lots to offer.

Miyuki Tanino, MD
Cornell University College of Medicine, 2013

Academic Interests: Primary care, but keeping an open mind for other interests as well!
Plans: Learn as much as I can during residency
About Me: I was born in Westchester, NY, and grew up mostly in Japan and Singapore. I returned to Westchester in high school, and have lived in NY state since then. In my free time, I like to travel, cook, and watch Japanese TV shows. I like that Albany has a lot of nature (something I missed in NYC!) and is not too busy of a city, but is an easy bus ride to NYC.

I am very excited to start my residency in Albany and explore a new place over the next 4 years. In addition to traveling, I am a self proclaimed "foodie".
