Requirements for acceptance into our Cardiothoracic Surgery residency program include the successful completion of a five year General Surgery residency program in an ACGME accredited site in the U.S., with documentation confirming this, submission of an application through ERAS to include a current CV, personal statement, three letters of recommendation including one from your current program director or department chair, Dean’s Letter, a copy of your diploma as well as a copy of your transcript with the official seal, ABSITE scores and a valid ECFMG certificate if a foreign graduate. Albany Medical College accepts only the J1 Visa.
