Accreditation


Albany Medical College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing  medical education for physicians.

ACCME accreditation seeks to assure both physicians and the public that continuing medical education activities sponsored by Albany Medical College meet the high standards of the Essentials & Standards  for Accreditation as specified by the ACCME.

The ACCME rigorously evaluates continuing medical education programs according to standards adopted by all seven of its sponsoring  organizations. The ACCME's sponsoring organizations include:

      American Board of Medical Specialties
      American Hospital Association
      American Medical Association
      Association of American Medical Colleges
      Association for Hospital Medical Education
      Council of Medical Specialty Societies
      Federation of State Medical Boards of the U.S.
