Albany Medical Center Prize in Medicine and Biomedical Research

Join us for a Grand Rounds Presentation with one of the Foremost Researchers of Our Time.

Cell biologist Alexander Varshavsky, Ph.D., will present a fascinating insight
into how cell behavior impacts diseases including cancer, autoimmune disorders
and other illnesses. Dr. Varshavsky, the 2014 recipient of the Albany Medical
Center Prize in Medicine and Biomedical Research, will present the special
Grand Rounds lecture at Albany Medical College on Wednesday, May 21.

Dr. Varshavsky will discuss his early discoveries related to the biology of the ubiquitin system and share his current projects whose end-goal is to eradicate common, chronic and deadly diseases. A question-and-answer period will follow his presentation.
